• TIMESTEP Mentor:
    TIMESTEP is a University of Arizona program designed to expose undergraduate STEM students to the technical skills necessary to succeed in both research and the tech world. As a graduate mentor I help guide 3-5 students in their internships. This includes helping teach them essential skills necesarry to succeed (like programming) as well as helping them manage other soft skills like e.g. how to talk to their bosses.

  • Astronomy Education for Undergraduate Majors:
    We are designing open-source lesson plans for astronomy majors using jupyter notebooks. Our goal is to teach basic programming concepts while simultaneously improving students astronomy knowledge.

  • Space Drafts Organizer:
    Space Drafts is Tucson's "flavor" of Astronomy on TAP, an international organization that organizes monthly public astronomy talks. We are at Borderlands Brewing (downtown location) every third tuesday of the month!

  • Flandrau Science Center Black Hole Summer Camp Science Expert:
    Along with my colleagues, I taught elementary school students about Black Holes by creating interactive instructional materials.
